"For though we live in the world we do not wage war as the world does." 2 Corinthians 10:3
In this scripture, Paul is giving us an amazing reminder. He's relaying to us, that as followers of Christ, we have at our disposal God's mighty power and weapons, as we fight against Satan's attacks and his strongholds. God's weapons of faith, hope, love, prayers, His Word and the Holy Spirit.
In the world we live in, most people would never look at these things as weapons. They're used to seeing the influence of money, status, fame, power and threats, used instead.
But think about it... as Christians we must choose to fight God's way, not the world's way. We must always remember that God's weapons can break down all arguments people may use to rebel against God, and they can destroy the deceit that Satan uses to keep us in bondage. God's weapons are powerful and effective in winning any battle we may have to fight!
We may as humans be tempted at times to get off track and follow the world's example. However, like Paul, when we make the decision to instead tap into God's power and use HIS weapons, we'll put ourselves in the best position to win the battle of life.
