I feel helpless and completely haunted by what's happening to the people of Ukraine. As I watch all the news reports, I'm just horrified!
Terrifying as all this is, like the rest of the world, I'm equally inspired and captivated by the bravery and love of county, that the Ukrainian people are showing. I'm glued to the television, cheering them on, hoping to hear they're not just standing their ground, but making huge strides! I even imagine, as I ponder possible solutions, that Russia has changed their minds and have turned tailed and ran... the will of a FREE people winning!
Russia gave us all the clues as to what their plans were, why was the world not listening and better prepared?
I can't stop thinking about all the little children and how traumatized and frightened they must be, as those nightly sirens sound off throughout their cities. I can't keep my mind off the elderly, those who need hospital care, but can't get it. I keep thinking... how did this happen? Could this happen here? What can I do?
There are so many more questions right now, than answers!
As I try to quiet my mind and take this all to the Lord, I am reminded of the scripture James 5:13: "Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray..."
This scripture makes it absolutely clear that in times of trouble, we must pray. Our heartfelt prayers and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ, will make God's tremendous power available to all those in Ukraine who are in harm's way.
Right now, let's us all across the world link arms and make it a priority to pray for God to intervene on behalf of Ukraine. Let's ask the God of all creation, the great counselor, the one for whom all blessings flow, to allow all of Ukraine to not only feel our prayers, but to also trust that our God is at work in their situation.

Dear Hevenly Father, just as you provided your army of angles, leading horses and chariots of fire, to protect the prophet Elisha, I pray you'll send your angel armies to surround, protect and guide the people of Ukraine. Give them your peace and divine stamina to hold out for all they have in front of them. I also pray that you will change the heart of Vladimir Putin, in the ways that only you can do, and bring a peaceful resolution in this time of uncertainty. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for all you have done, and continue to do, for all of us. Amen.
